A Tequila Old Fashioned for the Queen Stag Beetle green pocket square

When I set out to create the Queen Stag beetle pocket square, I was looking to create a modern and more interesting version of the classic bandana. Bandanas always remind me of the wild west and frontiersmen crossing the boundaries of America and Mexico, if they had a drink I would like to think it contained tequila.

Tequila Old Fashioned

To make this drink you will need:

• 50ml tequila
• 2 dashes Angostura bitters
• 2 dashed orange bitters
• 1 tsp sugar

Instructions:

Add the sugar and bitters to your rocks glass and muddle together breaking down the size of the sugar crystals. Now add 25ml of Tequila followed by 3 cubes of ice, stir for around 30 seconds or until you can see that the liquid has doubled. Add another 25ml of Tequila followed by 3 cubes of ice, this time only stir for around 10 seconds. Garnish with a clementine slice and a maraschino cherry.
